CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Center back yoke – 2 pieces
- Side back yoke – 2 pieces
- Back panel – 2 pieces
- Front yoke – 1 piece with fold
- Front panel – 1 piece with fold
- Back facing – 4 pieces
- Front facing - 2 pieces
- Flap – 4 pieces
- Placket – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back facing – 2 pieces
- Front facing - 1 piece
- Flap – 2 pieces
- Placket – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch the princess seams on the back yokes, press seam allowances towards the center, and serge. Along the upper edge of the back panel, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the yoke to the back panel, press seam allowances upwards, and serge. Attach the outer back facings to the skirt, press seam allowances towards the facings.
- Serge the center edges of the back panel separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- Along the upper edge of the front panel from the side seam to the mark, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the yoke to the front panel, press seam allowances upwards, and serge.
- Press the seam allowances of the vertical edges of the placket to the wrong side, place the placket on the front panel according to the markings, and topstitch.
- Place the flap pieces right sides together in pairs and stitch along the outer contour. Clip the seam allowances at the curves, turn the flap right side out, straighten, and press. Place the flaps on the front yoke and secure along the upper and side edges. Attach the front facing to the skirt, press seam allowances towards the facing.
- Stitch the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back, and serge.
- Stitch the side seams of the inner facings, press seam allowances open, and serge the lower edge. Place the facing with the skirt right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Clip the seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, and press. Topstitch into the seam of the outer facing attachment.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
