FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, elastic tape 1 cm wide, 1 button.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • Back sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Front – 1 piece on fold
  • Front sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch shoulder seams. Overcast allowances and press towards the back.
3. Stitch the upper sleeve seam. Along the sleeve cap between the marks, sew a gathering stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Set sleeves into armholes. Overcast allowances and press.
4. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams. Overcast allowance and press towards the back.
5. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long for the loop. Fold the strip in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out, and straighten the rouleau. Adjust the loop length.
6. Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings. Press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place the facing onto the garment, right side down, and secure along the neckline edges. Clip the back and back facing. Stitch the neckline and back slit, gradually tapering to nothing and inserting the loop. Clip allowances and the corner, turn the facing to the wrong side, and press.
7. Fold the sleeve hem allowance inwards by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and stitch, forming a casing and leaving an opening. Thread elastic tape through the casing and secure the ends.
8. Overcast the hem allowance of the garment bottom, press to the wrong side, and stitch.
9. Sew on the button.
