Dense blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 1 button; elastic tape.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

• From main fabric:
  • Back – 1 piece on fold
  • Front – 1 piece on fold
  • Upper sleeve part – 2 pieces
  • Lower sleeve part – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
2. Stitch the darts on the front. Press the dart allowances upwards.
3. Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the back, overcast.
4. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts. Overcast the allowance and press downwards. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overcast the allowance and press towards the back. Along the sleeve cap, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Set the sleeve into the armhole, press the allowance and overcast. Overcast the lower edge of the sleeve. Fold the allowance inwards and topstitch, forming a casing. Insert elastic tape into the casing, adjust the length and secure the ends.
5. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long for the loop. Fold the strip lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out and straighten the rouleau. Adjust the loop length.
6. Stitch the shoulder edges of the neckline facings. Press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge. Place the facing on the garment, right side down, and secure along the neckline edges. Clip the back and back facing. Stitch the neckline and back slit, gradually tapering to nothing and inserting the loop. Clip the allowances and the corner at the back. On the front neckline, stitch the opening, tapering the allowance to 0.2 cm at the top. Trim allowances. Turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Secure the front corners together with blind stitches.
7. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
8. Sew the button onto the back neckline.
