Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Overlock the relief edges of the side and center front pieces. Topstitch lace trim onto the center front piece, aligning the longitudinal edge of the trim with the marked relief seam of the center piece. Topstitch lace trim onto the side front piece, aligning the other longitudinal edge of the trim with the marked relief seam of the side piece.
  2. Stitch the right shoulder seam, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  3. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge right sides together, leaving tails, and facing. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  4. Stitch the left shoulder seam, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  5. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together and stitch, fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece.
  6. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  7. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
