Cutter's Must

Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 1 piece
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Reinforce pattern pieces with fusible interfacing.
  2. Finish the center edges of the back separately on each piece. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
  3. Lay and stitch the pleats on the front skirt according to the markings (depths directed towards the center).
  4. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
  5. Stitch the side seams of the facings, press allowances open. Finish the bottom edge. Place the facing on the skirt right sides together and stitch the top edge. Topstitch the allowances to the facing 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facing to the wrong side, press. Secure the facing at the side seams and the zipper tape.
  6. Finish the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  7. Sew buttons onto the front.
