Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece on fold
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Upper sleeve part – 2 pieces
- Lower sleeve part – 4 pieces
- Back neckline facing — 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing — 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing — 1 piece
- Front neckline facing — 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch darts on the front piece, press allowances upwards. Stitch darts on the back, press allowances towards the center.
- Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch shoulder seams of facings, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge of the inner facings.
- Place facings right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip allowances, turn right side out and press. Stitch the outer facing to the blouse neckline. Press allowances towards the facing. Topstitch the allowance of the inner facing to the seam of the outer facing attachment.
- Stitch darts on the upper sleeve part. Serge allowances. Stitch the sleeve seam, serge allowance and press towards the back of the sleeve.
- Stitch seams of the lower sleeve parts. Press allowances open. Place lower sleeve parts in pairs right sides together and stitch the bottom edge. Turn pieces right side out and press. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts. Serge allowances and press downwards. Set sleeves into armholes matching notches, serge allowances and press.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
