FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: skirt fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: lining, fusible interfacing, 3 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 3 cm, lining bottom edge allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Note! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back panel – 2 pieces
    • Front left panel – 1 piece
    • Front right panel - 1 piece
    • Front facing - 1 piece
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Flap – 1 piece
  • From lining fabric:
    • Front lining – 1 piece on fold
    • Back lining – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Front facing - 1 piece
    • Flap – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on the back skirt panels. Press dart allowances towards the center. Overcast the center edges of the back panel separately on each piece, simultaneously overcasting the vent. Stitch the center edge from the zipper mark to the edge of the vent. Press seam allowances open, press vent allowances towards the left side edge. Press the right side of the vent by 1 cm and topstitch. Secure vent allowances with machine stitching. Insert the zipper.
  3. Fold the flap in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the bottom edge. Turn the flap right side out, straighten, and press. Place the flap on the right side of the left panel, align the relief edges, and secure along the seam.
  4. Stitch the dart on the right front skirt panel. Press the dart allowance towards the center. Stitch the front relief edge. Overcast the allowance and press towards the center.
  5. Stitch the side edges, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  6. Stitch darts on the lining. Press dart allowances towards the center. Stitch the side edges of the lining. Overcast allowances and press towards the back. Overcast the center edges of the lining separately. Stitch the center back edges from the zipper mark to the bottom, press allowance open. Fold the bottom hem allowance twice by 1 cm and topstitch.
  7. Stitch the side edges of the facings. Press allowances open. Attach the lining to the facings. Press allowance downwards. Place the facing with the skirt right sides together and stitch the top edge. Turn the facing and lining to the wrong side, straighten, and press.
  8. Attach the lining to the side edge with hand stitches. Attach the lining to the zipper tape.
  9. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and hem with blind stitches.
  10. Sew on buttons, securing the flap.
