    • Waistband – 2 pieces
    • Front facing — 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces. Fuse the center back seam allowance at the beginning of the slit to prevent stretching.
  2. Stitch darts on the back. Trim the seam allowances with an overlocker and press towards the center. Topstitch along the dart at 0.5 cm.
  3. Overlock the center back seam allowances separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the slit mark. Overlock and press open the seam allowances. Topstitch along the slit at 0.5 cm.
  4. Attach the gusset to the front. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the center. Topstitch along the seam at 0.5 cm. Attach the back to the front. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the back. Topstitch along the seam at 0.5 cm.
  5. Attach the outer waistband to the front and back panels. Press the seam allowance upwards. Insert the invisible zipper.
  6. Stitch darts on the front. Press the seam allowances towards the center. Topstitch along the dart at 0.5 cm, gradually tapering off.
  7. Attach the front facing to the inner waistbands. Press open the seam allowances. Overlock the bottom edge. Fold the skirt and inner waistband right sides together and stitch the top edge. Turn the inner waistband to the wrong side and press. Secure the center waistband edges to the zipper tape. Topstitch along the top edge at 0.5 cm. Topstitch along the bottom waistband seam at 0.5 cm for decorative and securing purposes.
  8. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment. Press the seam allowance to the wrong side and topstitch.
