Fabric recommendations: thin suiting fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interlining; 1 button; concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the back panel and front panel_4 – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. ATTENTION! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERLINING:
    • Waistband – 1 piece

    • Front facing_2 – 1 piece
    • Front facing_3 – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interlining to the corresponding pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on the back and front panels, press the fullness towards the center of the pieces.
  3. Place front facing_1 on front panel_1 right sides together and stitch the bottom edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn facing to the wrong side. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Stitch front panel_2 to front facing_1, press allowances, overcast.
  4. Place front facing_2 on front panel_2 right sides together and stitch the bottom edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn facing to the wrong side. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. Stitch front panel_3 to front facing_2, press allowances, overcast.
  5. Place front facing_3 on front panel_3 right sides together and stitch the bottom edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn facing to the wrong side. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge. On the lower panel_4, overcast the bottom edge allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Stitch front panel_4 to front facing_3, press allowances, overcast.
  6. Overcast the bottom edge of the back panel. Overcast the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, enclosing the front panel with the hem allowance of the back panel. Press allowances open. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, enclosing the front panel with the hem allowance of the back panel, press allowances towards the back panel and overcast. Turn the bottom hem to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
  7. Fold the waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short side and the extension. Start stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the waistband to the skirt. At the mark, clip allowances, turn the waistband to the right side and press. Stitch the outer side of the waistband to the top edge, turn under the inner side and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  8. Overcast the buttonhole on the waistband. Sew on the button.
