Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interlining; 6 buttons; elastic tape 1 cm wide.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment – 2 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the sleeve – 2.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece on fold
- Back yoke – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 2 pieces
- Front yoke – 2 pieces
- Back sleeve part – 2 pieces
- Front sleeve part – 2 pieces
- Collar stand — 2 pieces
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Casing – 1 piece on fold
- Belt – 1 piece on fold
- From fusible interlining:
- Collar stand – 1 piece
- Front facing – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
- Fold collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Start and end stitching strictly at the marked seam line for attachment. Clip allowances at curves. Turn the finished collar stand right side out and press.
- Along the upper edge of the back, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the back sleeve part to the back, press allowances and serge. Stitch the back yoke to the back, press allowances upwards and serge.
- Along the upper edge of the front, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the front sleeve part to the front, press allowances and serge. Stitch the front yoke to the front, press allowances upwards and serge.
- Stitch the upper sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Stitch the lower sleeve seam simultaneously with the side seam, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Serge the short sides of the casing, fold inwards and topstitch. Press the long sides of the casing to the wrong side. Place the casing wrong side down according to markings on the front and back and topstitch.
- Serge the shoulder and inner edge of the front facing. Fold the front facing with the front right sides together and stitch the front edge and upper corner. Clip allowances at the mark, turn the front facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Secure the front facing to the front along the neckline edge.
- Stitch the outer part of the collar stand into the neckline, press allowances towards the collar stand. Fold the open edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the seam.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Serge buttonholes on the right front. Sew buttons on the left front.
- Press the bottom edge of the sleeve 1 cm to the wrong side, then another 1.5 cm and topstitch, leaving an opening for the elastic. Thread elastic tape through the created casing and secure.
- Fold the belt in half lengthwise right sides together and stitch, leaving an opening on the long side for turning. Turn the belt right side out, straighten and press. Topstitch the belt around the perimeter 0.1 cm from the edge. Thread through the casing.
