Silhouette: Relaxed, with straight legs.

Waist: No separate waistband: a facing cut in one with the shorts is folded to the inside and topstitched over 4 cm elastic, which is secured at the front panel seams. The facing is interfaced on the centre front pieces.

Front: Each front is made of a centre front piece, a side front piece and a side piece, with a vertical panel seam double topstitched.

Pockets: The upper edge of the side front piece forms a straight pocket opening, faced with the pocket bag and double topstitched; the pocket bags are cut from lining.

Back: Two back pieces with a centre back seam, double topstitched; the back is gathered by the elastic.

Finishing: Centre front and centre back seams double topstitched; hem turned 1 cm and then 2 cm and topstitched.

Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm, hem allowance - 3 cm. Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

From main fabric:
- Center Front Half – 2 pieces
- Side Front Half – 2 pieces
- Side – 2 pieces
- Back Half – 2 pieces
From lining fabric:
- Pocket Bag – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

Interface the cut-on waist facings of the Center Front Halves with fusible interfacing. Also interface the upper edge allowance of the Side Front Half.
Place the Pocket Bag on the Side Front Half right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Fold the pocket bag to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Stitch a double topstitch along the upper edge. Place the Side Front Half on the Side, stitch the lower edges of the pocket bag, and overlock. Baste the pieces together along the side and panel edges.
Stitch the panel seams joining the Center Front Half and the side front unit, press the allowances towards the center and overlock. Stitch a double topstitch along the seam.
Stitch the inseam edges, press the allowances and overlock. Stitch the center front and center back seams, press the allowances to the left side and overlock. Stitch a double topstitch along the seam. Stitch the side edges, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
Overlock the edge of the cut-on waist facing. Press the facing to the wrong side. Insert the elastic tape and secure it at the front panel seams. Topstitch the facing to the main garment.
Press the hem allowance 1 cm, then another 2 cm and topstitch.
