Fabric recommendations: thin, well-draping fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. Also needed: thin fusible interfacing; 1 cm wide elastic tape; decorative cord.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch inseam edges, press allowances towards the back half and serge.
3. Serge the outer edges of the pant legs, press to the wrong side and topstitch. They can also be finished with a narrow rolled hem, "Moscow" seam, decorative trim, or lace.
4. Stitch the center seam of the back and front halves, press allowances to the left side and serge. Fold the front and back halves right sides out, aligning the upper edges and side seam marks, and fold the pant legs to the front.
5. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide for the loop fasteners. Fold the strip lengthwise in half right sides together and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out and straighten the rouleau. Cut the rouleau into 6 loops.
6. Fold the front inserts right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Clip allowances, turn the piece right side out, straighten, and press. Place and secure the loop fasteners onto the right side of the outer insert. Unfold the insert and stitch the front waistband pieces to it, press allowances towards the waistband.
7. Press the back waistband lengthwise in half right side out. Mark and topstitch the casing lines for the elastic. Insert the elastic tape into the waistband, securing it at the side edges. Fold the front waistband lengthwise in half right side in, insert the back waistband between the layers, and stitch the side edges. Turn right side out, straighten, and press. Stitch the waistband to the upper edge of the pants, serge allowances.
8. Thread the decorative cord through the loops.
