Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: knit fabric with low or medium stretch from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: elastic tape. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm, hem allowances 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
  • Back half – 2 pieces
  • Front half – 2 pieces
  • Waistband – 1 piece
  • Pocket bag – 2 pieces
  • Side panel – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

1. Place the pocket bag on the front half and stitch the pocket opening. Turn the pocket bag to the wrong side, topstitch the allowances onto the pocket bag with a 0.1 cm seam, and press.
2. Place the front half onto the side panel according to the markings. Stitch the pocket bag to the side panel, serge the allowances. Secure the pocket bag to the front half along the upper and side edges.
3. Stitch the center seam on the back halves, press the allowances to the left side and serge. Stitch the center edge on the front halves, press the allowances to the left side and serge.
4. Stitch the side seams, press the allowances to the back half and serge. Stitch the inseams, press the allowances to the back half and serge.
5. Stitch the waistband into a loop, press the allowances open. Press the waistband lengthwise in half with the right side out. Adjust the length of the elastic tape and stitch into a loop. Insert the elastic tape into the waistband, secure according to the markings. Attach the waistband to the trousers, serge the allowance. The waistband seam is located at the left side seam.
6. Serge the hem allowance of the trousers, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
