Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Finish the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the hem, press seam allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper.
- Form and secure the pleats on the front (pleat depths face outwards, towards the neckline).
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams, clip seam allowances at curves, press towards the back and finish.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, clip and press seam allowances open. Finish the lower edge. Place the facing and garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge, clip seam allowances at curves, trim corners. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Secure the facing to the zipper tape and shoulder seams.
- On the upper part of the sleeve cap, form and secure a box pleat and two arbitrary pleats to its left and right. Along the lower edge of the sleeve, form and secure arbitrary pleats on the back part of the sleeve. Finish the sleeve edges separately. Stitch the sleeve seam from the armhole to the slit mark, press seam allowances open. Topstitch the slit 0.1 cm from the fold. Set the sleeves into the armholes, press seam allowances and finish.
- Place cuff pieces right sides together and stitch the side edges. Start and end stitching precisely at the marked cuff attachment line. Turn the piece right side out, press. Attach the outer cuff to the sleeve, fold the seam allowance of the inner cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer cuff attachment.
- Press the hem of the garment to the wrong side twice by 1 cm and topstitch.
- Make buttonholes on the cuffs, sew on buttons. Sew buttons on the left shoulder seam, on the pleats.
