V-Neck Blouse with Lace Yokes and Flutter Sleeves

Pattern #2274
Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. Lace fabric for trim. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  3. Press the plackets lengthwise in half, right side out. Stitch the plackets to the front along the long edge, stopping 1 cm from the bottom. Clip the front seam allowance at the corners, stopping 1 mm from the stitching line. Form a pleat on the front, overlapping the right placket over the left. Stitch the ends of the plackets, folding back the front and securing the bottom edge. Serge seam allowances.
  4. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  5. Fold collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer edge, starting and ending the stitching precisely at the collar stand attachment line. Turn the collar stand right side out, press.
  6. Stitch the outer collar stand to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances and serge. Serge the bottom edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Alternatively, the sleeve hem can be finished with a narrow rolled hem. Stitch sleeves into armholes, press seam allowances and serge.
  8. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
