Fabric & Materials
Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Upper back part – 2 pieces
- Lower back part - 2 pieces
- Lower back placket – 2 pieces
- Lower front placket – 1 piece on fold
- Upper center front part – 1 piece on fold
- Upper side front part – 2 pieces
- Lower front part – 1 piece on fold
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing — 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch darts on the upper back part, press allowances towards the center. Stitch the upper and lower back parts. Overlock allowances and press upwards. Attach the lower placket to the back. Overlock allowance and press upwards. Overlock the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
- Stitch the front princess seams, overlock allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the upper and lower front parts. Overlock allowances and press upwards. Attach the lower placket to the front. Overlock allowance and press upwards.
- Stitch the dress shoulder seams, overlock allowances and press open.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Fold the facing and the bodice right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip allowances, trim corners. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Secure the shoulder seams of the bodice and facing together.
- Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and length equal to the armhole length + 6 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise right side out and press. Place the binding on the armhole edge right side up, extending the tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip seams and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch the side seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment. Fold allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
