Fabric recommendations: silk blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 5 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2 cm, other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 1 piece with fold
  • Front - 1 piece with fold
  • Sleeve - 2 pieces
  • Placket - 1 piece
  • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • Collar stand — 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Collar stand - 2 pieces
  • Placket - 1 piece
  • Cuff – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch darts on the front, if provided by the size. Press dart depths upwards.
3. Place the front on the placket, wrong side to right side. Stitch the neckline. Trim seam allowances, clip at the corner. Turn the placket to the right side and press. Fold the outer seam allowances of the placket inwards strictly along the marked lines and press. Topstitch the placket to the front.
4. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
5. Fold the outer and inner collar stands right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Start and end stitching strictly at the marked line of the attaching seam. Clip allowances at curves. Turn the finished collar stand right side out and press.
6. Attach the outer collar stand to the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the attaching seam.
7. Make a slit on the sleeve along the marked line. Cut a bias binding from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and length equal to twice the slit length +4 cm. Fold the binding in half lengthwise and press. Press outer allowances towards the center. Finish the sleeve slit with bias binding.
8. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and serge. Along the lower edge of the sleeve, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather.
9. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short sides. Start stitching strictly at the marked line for attaching the cuff to the sleeve. Turn the cuff right side out and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve. Fold under the inner side of the cuff and topstitch into the attaching seam.
10. Stitch pleats on the front and back along the marked lines. Direct pleat depths towards the center. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
11. Make buttonholes and sew buttons on the cuffs. Sew buttons on the placket.
