Cutter's Must
From main fabric:
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Yoke – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker. Before doing this, trim allowances to 0.7 cm.
Sewing Instructions

- Bind the neckline of the back and yoke with bias tape.
- Fold the neckline facings right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Turn the inner facing to the wrong side and press. Overlock the outer edge of the inner yoke.
- Along the upper edge of the front between the marks, make a gathering stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the outer neckline facing to the front. Press allowance towards the facing.
- Attach the yoke to the upper edge of the front, inserting the yoke between the facings. Overlock allowance and press towards the yoke.
- Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Overlock allowance and press towards the back. Overlock the lower edge of the sleeve with a narrow rolled hem (you can also finish the lower edge with bias tape). Stitch the sleeve seam. Set the sleeve into the armhole, overlock allowance.
