When To Wear

As summer sleepwear.
For lounging at home on warm days.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Loose, slightly flared from the gathered neckline to the hem.

Length: Above the knee.

Neckline: Wide off-shoulder neckline running across front, back and sleeves, turned into a casing with 0.5 cm elastic. The casing is stitched along a marked line, so a small frill stands above the elastic.

Sleeves: Short raglan-style sleeves sewn into the front and back armholes, joined with the side seam in one continuous seam. The hem is turned into a casing with elastic cut to the arm circumference, with a frill below it.

Front: One piece, no fastening.

Back: One piece.

Finishing: Seams overlocked; 2.5 cm hem turned twice and topstitched. Optional bows of decorative ribbon sewn on at the centre front neckline and the sleeve hems.

Sewing Instructions

Set in the sleeves into the armholes of the back. Press the seam allowances towards the sleeve and serge.
Set in the sleeves into the armholes of the front. Press the seam allowances towards the sleeve and serge.
Stitch the sleeve edges and side edges with one seam. Press the seam allowances towards the back and serge.
Serge the upper edge seam allowance, press to the wrong side, and topstitch a casing according to the markings, leaving an opening for inserting elastic. Cut a piece of elastic trim strip of the required length and thread it through the casing.
Serge the lower sleeve edge seam allowance, press to the wrong side, and topstitch a casing according to the markings, leaving an opening for inserting elastic. Cut a piece of elastic trim strip equal to the arm circumference and thread it through the casing.
Press the lower edge of the garment to the wrong side, fold inwards, and topstitch.
Optionally, form bows from decorative trim strip and sew them on according to the sketch.
