Lace Lounge Romper with Flounce Sleeves & Front Ties

1. BACK PANEL – 1 QTY
2. FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY

• From SATIN:
1. Tie – 6 QTY

Sewing Instructions

1. Mark and stitch the waist darts on the BACK PANEL and bust darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press the darts on the FRONT PANEL upwards, and on the BACK PANEL towards the center back.
2. Cut 3 strips from SATIN, 5.5 cm wide and equal to the length of the bottom edges of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Press one long side of the strip 1 cm to the wrong side, place the strip right side to the wrong side of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL, and stitch the bottom edge. Fold the strip to the right side and topstitch the pressed edge onto the main piece.
3. Stitch the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
4. Cut a BIAS BINDING 5 cm wide and equal to the length of the neckline of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Press the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out. Fold the BIAS BINDING right sides together with the neckline SEAM ALLOWANCE and stitch. Fold the BIAS BINDING to the wrong side. Topstitch the seam allowance onto the BIAS BINDING with a 0.1 cm wide seam.
5. Fold the ties in half lengthwise, right side in, and stitch along the long and one short side. Turn the ties right side out, baste, press, and topstitch 0.1 cm from the edge.
6. Cut 2 strips from SATIN, 5 cm wide and equal to the length of the front opening. Press them in half lengthwise right side out, place them on the right side of the FRONT PANEL, and stitch the front opening, inserting the ties according to the markings. Fold the strip to the wrong side and topstitch the fold onto the main piece.
7. Serge the side edges and stitch up to the slit mark. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the slits. Topstitch the sides of the slit 0.1 cm.
8. Attach the FLOUNCE to the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Serge the attachment seam and press towards the FLOUNCE. Stitch and serge the seam of the SLEEVE and FLOUNCE. Serge the bottom edge of the FLOUNCE with a narrow rolled hem.
9. Set the SLEEVES into the armhole according to the NOTCHES. Serge the SEAM ALLOWANCES.
10. From SATIN fabric, make two bows and sew them above the side slits.
