- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: front FACING, lower COLLAR, GRAIN LINE strip, belt tab.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the front FACING, lower COLLAR, and belt tab.
- Place the upper COLLAR with the lower COLLAR right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Trim and turn out the COLLAR corners. Press the COLLAR.
- Cut a fabric strip for the buttonhole. Fold the strip in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and align the raw edges. Fold the raw edges inwards and stitch at 0.1 cm from the upper folded edge. Fold the strip in half to form a triangle. Secure the triangle along its base. Mark and topstitch the buttonhole to the lower edge of the chest pocket flap.
- Place the chest pocket flap pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Turn the flap through the upper open edge. Straighten the seams and topstitch at 0.2 cm from the flap edge. Mark the position of the chest pocket on the right FRONT PANEL. Overlock the outer contour of the patch pocket. Press the upper edge of the patch pocket and topstitch at 0.5 cm from the upper edge. Press the pocket sides according to the pattern. Mark the pocket position on the FRONT PANEL and topstitch, making bar tacks at the pocket corners. Attach the yoke to the right FRONT PANEL, inserting the flap. Overlock the attachment seam, press, and topstitch at 0.5 cm.
- Mark the position of the front pocket on the FRONT PANELS. The flap processing is similar to the chest pocket flap processing. Overlock the side edge of the front pocket FACING. Attach the front pocket FACING to the side and lower edges of the pocket and overlock. Overlock the upper edge of the pocket, turn under, and topstitch. Place the pocket to the marked position, turn under the FACING edge, and topstitch. Place the flap to the marked position and topstitch. Turn the flap to the right side and topstitch at 0.5 cm.
- Mark the position of the upper pocket on the left FRONT PANEL. Reinforce the pocket opening with a GRAIN LINE strip. Clarify the pocket position and the pocket opening line. Cut the pocket opening. Make slanted cuts at 1-1.5 cm from the end of the pocket. Turn the pocket SEAM ALLOWANCES to the wrong side through the created opening, straighten the edges. Adjust the pocket end from the wrong side. Place the ZIPPER under the edges of the pocket opening so that the teeth are visible. Stitch in the ZIPPER and attach the pocket LINING to the ZIPPER SEAM ALLOWANCES. Stitch the pocket LINING and overlock.
- Attach the yoke to the left FRONT PANEL. Overlock and press the attachment seam. Topstitch at 0.5 cm.
- Attach the tab to the front belt part. Press and topstitch the seam. Attach the belt to the FRONT PANELS.
- Stitch and press open the center back seam. Attach the back belt part to the BACK PANEL.
- Place the FRONT PANELS right sides together and align the raw edges, matching the yokes, measure the length of the front edges. Attach the ZIPPER to the edge of the front opening. Turn under and press the edges of the front opening in the ZIPPER area.
- Place the front FACING on the right side of the FRONT PANEL, right side down, and stitch along the front edge line. Stitching is done from the FRONT PANEL side. Turn the front edges to the right side, straighten the seams, and press.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Press open the shoulder and side seams.
- Stitch the lower COLLAR into the neckline.
- Stitch and press open the SLEEVE seam. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes according to the NOTCHES.
- On the LINING fabric pieces, stitch the seams and set the SLEEVES. Press the LINING SEAM ALLOWANCES. Attach the LINING to the upper COLLAR and to the inner edges of the front FACINGS, stopping 1 cm before the end of the edge. Press open the COLLAR attachment SEAM ALLOWANCES and secure close to the seams.
- Attach the belt to the lower edge of the front FACING. Stitch the lower corners of the belt. Trim the corners, turn out, and press.
- Stitch the side edges of the CUFF. Fold the CUFF wrong side inwards lengthwise in the middle.
- Attach the CUFFS to the bottom of the SLEEVE and overlock the upper edge of the CUFF together with the SLEEVE and LINING.
- Topstitch along the ZIPPER at 0.5 cm. Mark and overlock the buttonholes on the front pocket flap. Mark and sew on the buttons.
