Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL neckline FACINGs.
- Stitch and serge the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL. Press them towards the center.
- Stitch and press the darts on the BACK PANEL towards the center.
- Stitch and serge the side seams. Press the side seams towards the BACK PANEL.
- Place the strap pieces right sides together and stitch along the contour, leaving a 3 cm opening in the side outer seam of the strap for turning. Turn the straps right side out and press. Topstitch along the contour of the straps 0.2 cm from the edge, closing the opening.
- Serge the center seam of the FRONT PANEL and stitch it up to the NOTCHES that define the length of the upper and lower slits.
- Stitch and press open the side edges of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL neckline FACINGs.
- Serge the lower edge of the FACINGs.
- Serge and stitch the center seam of the BACK PANEL from the ZIPPER mark to the hem. Press open the center seam of the BACK PANEL, pressing the slit for the ZIPPER. Place the ZIPPER under the slit so that the teeth are not visible, and stitch in place.
- Stitch the front ends of the straps to the FRONT PANEL. Put on the dress, adjust the length of the straps, and stitch the back ends to the BACK PANEL.
- Place the stitched FACINGs right sides together with the dress and stitch the neckline edge of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the upper corners of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Turn the FACING to the wrong side of the dress. Straighten the seams and press. Fold under the side edges of the FACING and hand-stitch to the ZIPPER allowance.
- Serge the hem of the dress, fold under, and hand-stitch.
