Sewing Instructions

TIP: To keep the fabric stretchy in the areas of finished seams, stitch the cut pieces with a narrow zigzag or special stretchy stitch. To keep the bottom edge stretchy, overcast the hem with an overlock stitch, then stitch it using a twin needle. The same applies to finishing other edges of the garment that should not lose elasticity. These recommendations do not apply to industrial production.

  1. Stitch and overcast the vertical princess seams on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Press the FRONT PANEL princess seams towards the center of the FRONT PANEL, and the BACK PANEL princess seams towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
  2. Stitch and overcast the SLEEVE seams.
  3. Stitch and overcast the dress side seams. Press the dress side seams towards the BACK PANEL.
  4. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes.
  5. Finish the neckline with BIAS BINDING.
  6. Overcast the center back seam. Stitch the center back seam up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Press open the center back seam and press the ZIPPER opening. Place the ZIPPER under the SEAM ALLOWANCES so that the teeth are not visible, and stitch.
  7. Overcast, fold under, and topstitch the bottom of the dress and SLEEVES.
