When To Wear

  • Summer evenings, weddings and formal dinners in warm weather: the halter cut leaves the shoulders bare.

Length: Floor length.

Collar: Stand collar cut in two pieces on the fold, fastened at the back with two buttons and buttonholes.

Back: Two bodice halves with darts and a keyhole opening below the collar; the back skirt has a centre back seam.

Closure: Zipper in the centre back seam of the skirt; two buttons on the collar.

Skirt: Front skirt cut in one piece on the fold, back skirt in two pieces; the bodice is topstitched onto the skirt.

Finishing: Hem turned up and sewn by hand with blind stitches.

Lining: The bodice is lined; lining and main fabric are stitched together along the centre front and centre back edges and the armholes. The skirt is unlined.
