Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the front FACINGS, back and front bottom FACINGS, and back neckline FACING with FUSIBLE INTERFACING (Heat-activated interfacings are ironed onto the wrong side of the piece with a hot iron).
  2. Stitch darts on the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANELS.
  3. Stitch shoulder and side SEAM ALLOWANCES up to the slit NOTCHES.
  4. Stitch shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES of the front FACING and back neckline FACING.
  5. Stitch side SEAM ALLOWANCES of the back and front bottom FACINGS.
  6. Fold the front FACINGS, combined with the FACINGS, with the FRONT PANELS right sides together and pin to the edges of the fronts and neckline, stitch the fronts with the front FACINGS, turn out and press.
  7. From the right side of the garment, turn back and straighten the front and bottom of the garment, baste.
  8. Make a "Two-piece SLEEVE" - Reinforce the hem allowance of the SLEEVE bottom with FUSIBLE INTERFACING. Stitch the upper and elbow parts of the SLEEVE; press open the SEAM ALLOWANCES and turn the SLEEVE to the right side. Press the hem allowance of the SLEEVE bottom inwards.
  9. Make a "SLEEVE" - Gather the SLEEVE cap with small, frequent stitches between the indicated NOTCHES and pull the thread until it matches the corresponding distance on the armhole of the garment. Dampen the fabric and shrink the gathers with the tip of a hot iron. Pin the SLEEVE to the garment, matching control NOTCHES, and stitch, sewing from the SLEEVE side.
  10. Attach shoulder pads.
  11. Make the "LINING" - Create a ease pleat and secure it under the neckline opening and a few centimeters above the hemline of the garment. Stitch darts on the LINING BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL, stitch the cut pieces from the LINING fabric. Attach the LINING to the lower edges of the SLEEVES, the inner edges of the front FACINGS, and the back neckline FACING. Carefully pin the LINING in the slit areas. Turn under the LINING edges and stitch to the edges of the slits. Hem the LINING.
  12. Make buttonholes on the right FRONT PANEL according to the markings and sew on buttons.
