FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: low-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: knit fusible interfacing, invisible zipper.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for dress and sleeve – 3.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • Back – 2 pieces
  • Upper front part - 1 piece on fold
  • Lower front part – 1 piece
  • Detachable part - 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing - 1 piece
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing - 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch darts on the back. Press dart allowances towards the center. Finish raw edges of center back seams separately. Stitch center back seam from zipper mark to bottom. Press seam allowances open, pressing the zipper opening flat. Insert invisible zipper.
3. Stitch bust darts. Press dart allowances upwards.
4. Cut a bridge piece 8 cm wide, 10 cm long. Fold lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch long allowances. Turn the bridge piece right side out, centering the seam, and press.
5. Place detachable pieces right sides together and stitch the bottom edge and the top edge of the bow from the mark to the side seam. Clip the allowance at the mark and turn the piece right side out. Press seams. Secure the pieces together along the side and top edges. Place the detachable piece onto the lower front part. Topstitch the detachable piece along fold line 1. Turn the detachable piece towards the right side seam and topstitch along fold line 2, similarly topstitch fold lines 3 and 4. Fold the bridge piece in half, insert the upper part of the detachable panel into it, and topstitch between the marks, forming a bow. Secure the detachable part and the lower front part along the top edge, side seam, and bow side seam.
6. Stitch upper and lower front parts together. Finish allowance and press upwards.
7. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
8. Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, press allowances open. Finish outer edge. Place facing and garment right sides together. Stitch neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves. Turn facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Secure facing to the main garment at shoulder seams. Attach facing to zipper tape.
9. Stitch sleeve seam. Finish allowance and press. Set sleeve into armhole, matching notches. Finish allowance and press.
10. Finish bottom edge of dress and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
