Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance – 3.0 cm, other seams – 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details).

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back - 2 pieces
    • Side back - 2 pieces
    • Side front - 2 pieces
    • Center front - 1 piece
    • Flounce – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Overlock the center back seam separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the hem. Press open the seam allowances of the center seam, pressing the opening flat. Insert the zipper.
  2. Stitch the shoulder seams separately on the center and side back and front pieces, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  3. Overlock the outer edge of the flounce, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  4. Stitch the center and side back and front pieces, inserting the flounce between them. Press allowances towards the center, overlock. Topstitch along the seam at 0.5 cm.
  5. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge right sides together and stitch. Clip the allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  6. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together and stitch. Clip the allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
