Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers; chiffon. You will also need: Concealed zipper, fusible interlining; 2 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. Allowance for the lower edges of the flying back and front parts – 0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • From main fabric 1:
    • Flying back part – 2 pieces
    • Flying front part – 1 piece on fold
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch darts on the front and back pieces. Press the depth of waist and shoulder darts towards the center, bust darts – upwards.
  2. Stitch side and shoulder seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
  3. Stitch side and shoulder seams of the flying parts. Overlock allowances and press towards the back. Overlock the lower edges of the flying back and front parts with a narrow rolled hem.
  4. Place the flying part right side up on the dress and secure along the neckline, armhole, and center back seam. Overlock center seams. Stitch the seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Insert the zipper.
  5. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 3 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge right side up and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  6. Along the sleeve cap, lay a stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Overlock sleeve edges. Stitch the sleeve seam up to the slit mark. Press allowances open. Secure allowances along the slit 0.2 cm from the edge. Set sleeves into armholes, press and overlock allowances. Along the lower edge of the sleeve, lay a stitch with loosened upper thread and gather.
  7. Fold the cuff lengthwise right side in and stitch the corners. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve. Fold the allowance of the inner side inwards and topstitch into the attaching seam.
  8. Overlock the hem allowance of the dress, press to the wrong side, and topstitch. Make buttonholes on the cuffs and sew on buttons.
