  • From fusible interfacing:

  • Front facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse fusible interfacing to the facing pieces of the neckline.
  2. Stitch darts on the back pieces, press the seam allowances towards the center. Overlock the center back seam allowance separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the slit mark. Insert the zipper. Topstitch the seam allowances along the slit 0.2 cm from the edge.
  3. Attach the left upper front to the front side. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards. Attach the collar to the central upper front. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards. Stitch the upper front pieces together. Overlock the seam allowance and press it towards the center. Attach the lower side and the lower side insert of the front. Overlock the seam allowances and press them upwards.
  4. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press the seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  5. Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings. Press the seam allowances open and overlock. Overlock the outer edge of the facings. Place the dress with the facing right sides together, aligning the neckline edges. Before reaching 5 mm from the edges of the concealed fastener, fold back the facing and pin it to the upper edge of the dress. On the right side of the dress, fold back the seam allowances along the zipper and pin them to the neckline edge over the facing. Stitch the neckline edge. Clip the seam at the curves, turn the pieces right side out and press. Topstitch the seam allowances to the facing. Attach the facing to the zipper tape.
  6. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock the seam allowance and press it towards the back of the sleeve. Set the sleeve into the armhole, aligning the notches. Overlock the seam allowance.
  7. Overlock the hem allowance of the dress and sleeve hem, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
