Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to collar, facings, and back neckline facing.
- Stitch the princess seams on the back pieces. Finish seam allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Finish seam allowance and press to the left.
- Stitch the princess seams of the front. Finish seam allowances and press towards the center.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Finish seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer edge. Attach collar to the neckline.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the facing and front facing. Press seam allowances open. Finish the outer edges.
- Stitch the flounce seams. Finish seam allowances and press towards the back. Finish the front edges, fold inwards, and topstitch. Form a pleat on the flounce and attach it to the lower edge. Finish seam allowance and press upwards.
- Place the front facing on the front and stitch along the front edge and neckline. Turn the front facing and facing to the wrong side and press. Attach the facing to the shoulder seams and the flounce edge.
- Cut (if not pre-made) bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the bias binding along the armhole edge, right side together, and stitch. Clip seam allowances. Fold the bias binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Cut (if not pre-made) bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the lower flounce edge length + 5cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the bias binding along the flounce edge, right side together, and stitch. Clip seam allowances. Fold the bias binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam. Finish buttonholes and sew on buttons.
