Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on the back. Press darts towards the center seam. Stitch the center back seam, press seam allowances to the left side and overlock.
- Stitch bust darts. Press depths upwards.
- Overlock the vertical edges of yoke facing_1. Fold the facing with yoke_1 wrong sides together and stitch the upper and lower edges. Clip seam allowances at the notches, turn the facing to the right side. Overlock the vertical edges of yoke facing_2. Fold the facing with yoke_2 wrong sides together and stitch the upper and lower edges. Clip seam allowances at the notches, turn the facing to the right side.
- Place yoke_1 on the front right side to right side (the shoulder edge of the yoke is directed downwards) and topstitch along the marked line. Fold the yoke upwards, secure to the front along the open edges. Then treat as one piece. Place yoke_2 on the front right side to right side (the shoulder edge of the yoke is directed downwards) and topstitch along the marked line. Fold the yoke upwards, secure to the front along the open edges. Then treat as one piece. Stitch the ends of the yokes together, press seam allowances open and overlock.
- Fold the bridge piece in half lengthwise, right side inwards, and stitch. Turn the piece to the right side, press, positioning the seam in the middle of the piece. Place the bridge on the front, stitch to the neckline edge (the piece is located under the yoke pieces).
- Stitch the right shoulder seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock. Cut (if not ready-made) bias binding 4 cm wide for neckline finishing. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge right side and stitch, fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Stitch the left shoulder seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Fold the bridge upwards, adjust the width by forming pleats on the yokes, and sew to the neckline from the wrong side.
- Cut (if not ready-made) bias binding 4 cm wide for armhole finishing. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right side and stitch, fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece.
- Stitch the side edges, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Overlock the bottom of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Fold the belt piece in half lengthwise, right side inwards, and stitch, leaving a small opening for turning. Trim seam allowances at the corners, turn the belt to the right side and press. Close the opening.
