Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the corresponding pieces.
  2. Stitch the center back seam from the top to the vent. Press the allowances and vent to the left side and overlock. Stitch across the top of the vent through the allowances by machine. Stitch the back princess seams, press the allowances towards the center and overlock.
  3. Stitch the center back seams of the collar pieces in pairs (upper collar and under collar), press the allowances open. Place the upper and under collar right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Clip the allowances at the curves, turn the collar right side out, baste, and press. Attach the collar to the side fronts.
  4. Overlock the upper edge of the center front and press it to the wrong side along the marked line. Attach the center front to the side fronts, overlock the princess seam allowances and press them towards the side seam.
  5. Stitch the shoulder seams, clipping the front at the corner. Press the allowances towards the back and overlock. Attach the collar to the back neckline, press the allowances and overlock.
  6. Overlock the left side seams separately. Stitch the left side seam from the armhole to the mark and from the mark downwards. Press the allowances open, pressing the zipper opening. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
  7. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the armhole facings, overlock the outer edges. Place the facings with the armholes right sides together and stitch. Clip the allowances at the curves. Turn the facings to the wrong side, press. Secure the facings to the side and shoulder seams.
  8. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
  9. Make buttonholes in the lower ends of the collar and sew the corresponding buttons onto the center front.
