Fabric Recommendations

- Medium-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers (for the body)

Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance for the blouse - 2 cm, all other seams 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Attention! Markings on the patterns are given on the right side.
- From knit fabric:
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Back – 1 piece
- Cuff – 2 pieces
- From silk:
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Collar stand – 2 pieces
- Right placket – 2 pieces
- Left placket – 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Collar stand – 1 piece
- Right placket – 1 piece
- Left placket – 1 piece
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the upper parts of the collar stand, right and left plackets.
- Stitch shoulder and side seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, overlock allowances and press towards the back of the sleeve. Along the bottom of the sleeve, stitch with a loosely tensioned upper thread and gather. Stitch the cuff into a ring. Fold in half lengthwise and press. Attach the cuff to the sleeve, overlock the allowance. Set sleeves into armholes. Overlock allowances.
- Along the front neckline, stitch with a loosely tensioned upper thread and gather. Fold the left placket pieces right sides together and stitch along the neckline. Turn right side out and press. Fold the right placket pieces right sides together and stitch along the neckline edge, inserting the left placket. Turn right side out and press. Attach the placket to the neckline, overlock the allowance.
- Fold the collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the upper edge. Start and end the stitch strictly at the marked collar line. Turn right side out and press. Attach the outer collar stand to the neckline. Fold the allowance of the inner collar stand to the wrong side and topstitch into the seam of the outer collar stand attachment.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the blouse. Fold the allowance inwards and topstitch.
