Introducing a women's sewing pattern for a stylish boat neck blouse featuring a relaxed fit through the body and voluminous balloon sleeves gathered at the cuffs.
This versatile blouse is perfect for various occasions, offering comfort and modern elegance:
Silhouette: a relaxed fit through the torso, slightly shaped towards the hem, balanced by generously voluminous sleeves.
Neckline: a wide, elegant boat neckline that gracefully frames the collarbones.
Sleeves: Eye-catching three-quarter length balloon sleeves, gathered at the cuffs with elastic to create a full, rounded shape.
Back: Features a clean center back seam for subtle shaping and fit.
Hem: a straight hem designed to sit at hip length, allowing for versatile styling either tucked or untucked.
Intermediate. Requires familiarity with knit fabrics, basic garment assembly techniques, and creating an elastic casing.
Choose knit fabrics with a moderate stretch and good drape to achieve the intended silhouette:
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 2 cm, sleeve hem and neckline allowance - 1.5 cm, other seams 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need.
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
