Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: Hem allowance – 2 cm; neckline edges of the back, armholes of the back and front, upper of the one-piece facing of the upper front – 1.5 cm; other seams 0.7 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Markings on the patterns are on the right side!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back – 1 piece
    • Lower left back – 1 piece
    • Lower right back – 1 piece
    • Upper front – 1 piece
    • Lower front – 1 piece
    • Placket – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

  2. Attach the upper back to the lower, press allowances open. Stitch the upper and lower front parts, press allowances open.
  3. Stitch the right side seams, press allowances open. Along the left side seam on the back and front from the underarm cut to the first mark, make a row of loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Stitch the right side seams, press allowances open.
  4. Overlock the neckline allowances of the back, armhole allowances of the back and front, and the upper edge allowance of the upper front, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  5. Fold the placket in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the long side. Turn the piece right side out and press. Stitch the piece into a loop. Thread the back strap through the decorative placket. Fold the one-piece allowance of the upper front to the wrong side, insert the back strap between them and stitch. Turn the strap to the right side. Position the placket to cover the strap attachment seam. Secure the placket from the wrong side.
  6. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
