  • Special Occasions: An ideal handmade gift for birthdays, baby showers, or holiday celebrations.
  • Nursery & Children's Decor: a soft companion or decorative accent for a child's room.
  • Cherished Keepsake: a memorable, handcrafted plush toy to be treasured for years.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a classic, plush teddy bear silhouette with well-defined, rounded limbs and a generous, huggable form.

Head: Features a distinct, shaped muzzle and separate, rounded ears, designed to be stuffed for a charming, expressive face.

Limbs: Separate, softly padded arms and legs attach to the main body, allowing the bear to sit upright.

Paws & Feet: Includes distinct paw and foot pad pieces, adding realistic detail to the extremities.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires accurate curved stitching, careful assembly of multiple small pieces, precise stuffing, and hand-stitching for finishing.

Fabric Recommendations

Select soft, durable fabrics with a good drape and plush feel to bring your teddy bear to life:

  • Plush faux fur or similar soft, shaggy fabrics
  • Velvet or Corduroy for a textured finish
  • Terry cloth or Waffle fabric for a unique tactile experience
  • Brocade or Chintz (e.g., polka dot or plaid) for a distinctive, decorative bear

Additional Supplies

  • Polyester fiberfill or other suitable stuffing material (e.g., fabric scraps, yarn remnants, dried beans/rice for weight)

orer4 Bear. The size corresponds to the finished height of the toy (50 cm).

Sewing Instructions

  1. Join the center seams of all double parts (indicated by a blue dashed line in the drawing). Leave an opening in the center back seam for turning out the toy.
  2. Join the back of the head and the face parts, aligning the center seam, and inserting the turned-out ears.
  3. Join the nose to the face, aligning the mark with the center seam.
  4. Join the outer edge of the nose and the lower section of the muzzle with a single seam, starting from the tip of the nose.
  5. Attach the paw and leg parts to the belly, aligning the concave edges.
  6. Join the belly, paws, and legs to the back with a single seam, aligning the center edges and marks. It is useful to make notches in the corners on the back between the paw and the leg.
  7. Attach the feet.
  8. Turn out the head, insert it into the body, join the side and center seams. Join with a single seam.
  9. Turn out through the opening on the back. Fill with stuffing. Secure the opening with hand stitches.
  10. Finish the face.

Tips: The stuffing in the nose area should be the densest. Add extra stitches to secure the stuffing. It is best to do this from the wrong (inner) side of the muzzle. As a filler, you can use not only synthetic padding but also cereals, soft polyethylene, yarn scraps, etc. The toy will turn out especially original if, instead of fur, you try sewing it from brocade, velvet, corduroy, terry cloth, waffle fabric, or polka-dot or checkered calico.
