Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Cut 2 zipper flaps from leather, 4 cm long, 3 cm wide. Fold in half along the short side.
  2. Mark the pocket placement on the main lining piece. Interface the area under the zipper. Cut an opening along the pocket entrance, make diagonal cuts 1 – 1.5 cm from the end of the pocket. Fold seam allowances inwards. Place the zipper under the edges of the pocket opening so that the teeth are visible. Topstitch the pocket opening close to the edge at a distance of 0.2 cm. Attach the large pocket lining to the upper zipper tape, and the small lining to the lower zipper tape. Stitch the lining edges.
  3. On the right side, place the flap over the zipper. Fold the zipper facings right sides together. Insert the zipper between them. Align the edges. Stitch the pieces along the zipper teeth, starting the stitch 1 cm from the edges and stopping 1 cm before the end. Turn the facings to the right side.
  4. Cut a strap from leather, 8 cm wide and the length indicated on the main part pattern. Fold the longitudinal seam allowances to the center and glue. Cut a decorative piece from fur, 2 cm wide. Place the fur piece on the strap and topstitch at a distance of 0.2 cm from the fur edge.
  5. Topstitch the strap onto the bag along the indicated lines.
  6. Attach the upper zipper facing to the main part.
  7. Attach the lower zipper facing to the main lining part.
  8. Fold the main and side parts right sides together. Stitch the side and main parts, strictly observing the marks.
  9. Insert the side lining part into the bag lining, leaving an opening. Turn the bag right side out through the opening. Secure the upper seam allowances of the lining and the main part together. Stitch the opening closed.
