Sewing Instructions

  1. Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.

  3. Finish the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back edges from the neckline edge to the first mark and from the second mark to the bottom, press seams open. Insert the concealed zipper.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
  5. Stitch the shoulder seams of the flounces, press allowances open and finish. Finish the outer edge of the flounces, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Alternatively, the outer edge can be finished with a narrow rolled hem (the allowance for this finish should be trimmed beforehand). Clip the inner allowances of the front flounces at the mark, place wrong side to right side of the front and secure along the neckline edges and center front edges.
  6. Stitch the center front seam, press allowances open and finish.
  7. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and finish.
  8. Stitch the shoulder seams of the back and front neckline facings, press allowances open. Finish the outer edge. Place facings with right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge of the back and front. Clip allowances at curves and at the front corner, turn facing to the wrong side, smooth out, press. Secure to the garment at shoulder and center seams.
  9. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and finish. Run a gathering stitch along the sleeve cap with loosened upper thread and gather. Finish the lower edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch. (The sleeve hem can also be finished with a narrow rolled hem. The allowance for the lower edge finish should be trimmed beforehand.) Stitch along the markings using elastic thread.
  10. Set the sleeves into the armholes, press allowances and finish.
  11. Finish the hem allowance of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
