Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse the collar stand with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch darts on the front pieces, trim seam allowances to 1 cm, press towards the center, overcast.
  3. Press the longitudinal edges of the front trim to the wrong side, place the trim on the front according to the markings and topstitch.
  4. Fold the placket trim with the front, wrong sides together, and stitch the placket edge. Press seam allowances open, lay the front and trim flat. Fold the front pieces right sides together, aligning the stitching seams, and stitch into this seam from the mark to the lower edge. Turn the pieces right side out, press the longitudinal edges of the placket trim to the wrong side and topstitch to the front.
  5. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  6. Fold the collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked line of the attachment seam. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn the collar stand right side out, shape and press.
  7. Attach the outer part of the collar stand to the neckline, press seam allowances towards the collar stand. Turn under the raw edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  8. Attach the sleeve insert to the upper sleeve part, press seam allowances towards the sleeve, overcast. Attach the lower sleeve part to the insert, press seam allowances towards the sleeve, overcast.
  9. Overcast the sleeve edges separately. Stitch the sleeve seam from the armhole to the end of the lace insert, press seam allowances open, pressing the slit. Stitch along the edge of the slit 0.1 cm from the fold.
  10. Stitch along the sleeve cap with a loosened upper thread and gather. Set sleeves into armholes, press seam allowances and overcast.
  11. Stitch along the lower sleeve edge with a loosened upper thread and gather. Bind the lower sleeve edge with bias binding, simultaneously creating the ties.
  12. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
