Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, concealed zipper.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 2 pieces
- Front – 1 piece with a fold
- Yoke – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch darts on the back and front pieces, press waist dart depths towards the center, bust darts upwards.
- Overlock the inner edge of the front facing. Place the front facing with the front yoke right sides together and stitch the outer edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn the piece right side out, press. Overlap the right yoke over the left, secure at the bottom edge. Attach the yoke to the front, press allowances upwards and overlock.
- Stitch shoulder seams, folding back the front facing and clipping the shoulder seam allowance on the yoke, press allowances towards the back and overlock. Stitch the collar stand to the back neckline, press allowances towards the collar stand.
- Overlock the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the mark to the bottom, press allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper, starting from the top edge of the collar stand.
- Overlock the outer edge of the back neckline facing. Stitch the shoulder edges of the back neckline facing and front facings, clipping the front facing piece at the corner, press allowances open. Stitch the collar stand to the facing neckline, press allowances towards the collar stand. Fold the center edge of the inner collar stand inwards and secure to the zipper tape. Secure the shoulder seams of the front facing to the garment's shoulder seams.
- Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
- Overlock the hem allowance of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
