CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 3 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Back - 2 pieces
- Front - 2 pieces
- Front facing - 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing - 1 piece
- Collar stand - 2 pieces
- Belt – 1 piece on fold
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Collar stand – 1 piece
- Belt – 1 piece on fold
Tip: you can use a ready-made belt.
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the center back seam. Overlock and press open the seam allowances.
- Overlock the belt loops.
- Stitch the shoulder seams, simultaneously with the sleeve edges. Overlock the seam allowances and press them towards the back.
- Fold the collar stands right sides together and stitch along the ends and the outer edge. Trim the seam allowances at the corners, turn right side out, and press.
- Stitch the shoulder edges of the front facings and the back neckline facing. Press open the seam allowances. Overlock the outer edge. Place the main garment with the front facings, align the edges, and stitch the front edges and neckline, inserting the collar. Clip the seam allowances, turn the pieces right side out, and press.
- Overlock the hem allowance and press it to the wrong side. Stitch the lower edge of the front facing with the front facing, trim the seam allowance at the corner, turn right side out, and press. Topstitch the lower allowance.
- Overlock the buttonhole on the front and sew on the button.
