Introducing a stylish women's sewing pattern for a contemporary cape, featuring a chic stand collar, a swing silhouette, and a versatile adjustable belt.
This stand collar belted cape is a versatile addition to any wardrobe, ideal for:
Silhouette: An a-line, generously cut cape silhouette with a relaxed drape.
Collar: a high stand collar providing a refined and structured neckline.
Closure: Front button closure with a single prominent button at the neck.
Arm Openings: Wide, open sides integrated into the design, allowing for easy movement and layering.
Back: a clean back with a subtle center seam, featuring belt loops designed to hold the accompanying belt.
Waist: Defined by a separate, adjustable belt that cinches the silhouette.
Length: Finishes at hip length, offering versatility in styling.
Hem: a distinctive shaped hemline, adding a unique design element to the overall silhouette.
Intermediate. Requires confident sewing skills, including precise collar construction, attaching facings, creating belt loops, and working a buttonhole.
Choose coating fabrics that offer structure and drape beautifully:
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 3 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
Tip: you can use a ready-made belt.
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
