Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2.0 cm. Allowance for the upper edge of the front insert – 2.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back – 2 pieces
    • Lower central back - 2 pieces
    • Lower side back - 2 pieces
    • Lower side front – 2 pieces
    • Lower central front – 1 piece with fold
    • Upper front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Front insert – 1 piece
    • Neckline ruffle – 1 piece with fold
    • Sleeve ruffle – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch darts on the upper back pieces, press allowances towards the center of the pieces.
  2. Stitch relief seams of the lower back, press allowances towards the center, overlock. Stitch upper and lower back parts, press allowances upwards and overlock.
  3. Overlock the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the neckline to the first mark and from the second mark to the bottom, press allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
  4. Along the lower edge of the upper front pieces, make a basting stitch with loosened upper thread and gather.
  5. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  6. Press the neckline ruffle lengthwise in half, right side out. Along the open edge, make a basting stitch with loosened upper thread and gather.
  7. Overlock the upper edge of the front insert, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Attach the ruffle and insert to the neckline, placing the ruffle between the front and the insert. Press allowances towards the main piece, overlock.
  8. Stitch upper and lower front parts, press allowances upwards and overlock.
  9. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  10. Stitch sleeve seam, press allowances and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  11. Stitch sleeve ruffle into a ring, press allowances open. Press the ruffle lengthwise in half, right side out. Along the open edge, make a basting stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the ruffle to the bottom of the sleeve, press allowances towards the sleeve, overlock.
  12. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
