FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Back - 2 pieces
- Front - 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Collar — 4 pieces
- Cuff – 2 pieces
- Loop – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Collar — 2 pieces
- Cuff – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch darts on the back. Press dart allowances towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Finish seam allowances and press to the left side.
- Stitch bust darts, press allowances upwards. Stitch waist darts on the front. Press dart allowances towards the center.
- Stitch shoulder seams. Finish seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Fold the loop lengthwise along the marked line, right sides together, and stitch. Turn the loop right side out, smooth the seam to the center, and press. Finish one of the raw edges. Place the loop on the front along the marked line, right side down, with the finished edge pointing towards the neckline, and stitch.
- Stitch the center seams of the collar pieces. Press seam allowances open. Place the upper collar on the lower collar, right sides together, and stitch the outer edge of the collar and the protruding part up to the collar attachment mark. Clip seam allowances at the mark. Trim seams, turn the collar right side out, shape, and press. Attach the collar to the neckline of the front and back. The section between the marks remains unfinished. Fold the loop upwards and secure the loop allowances with the neckline allowances.
- Stitch shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press seam allowances open. Finish the outer edge. Place the facing on the garment and stitch the neckline. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, and press. Secure the facing to the center back seam and shoulder seams.
- Finish the left side seams separately. Stitch the left side seams from the armhole to the zipper mark and from the zipper mark to the hem. Press seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper. Stitch the right side seams, finish, and press towards the back.
- Stitch the cuff into a loop. Press seam allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise and press.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and finish. Attach the cuff to the sleeve, finish allowances and press upwards. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and finish.
- Fold the bottom edge of the garment inwards by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and topstitch.
- Thread the extended part of the collar through the loop, forming a bow.
