FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 6 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back – 1 piece on fold
    • Side back – 2 pieces
    • Center front – 2 pieces
    • Side front – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 4 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Collar – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and serge. Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center and serge.
  3. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
  4. Stitch collar pieces in pairs, press allowances open. Place the upper collar and lower collar right sides together and stitch the ends and outer edge. Clip allowances, trim corners, turn collar right side out, shape and press. Attach collar to neckline.
  5. Stitch and press open shoulder seams of back neckline facing and front facings. Serge the outer edge. Place front facings with back neckline facing on the right side of the front, right side down, and stitch the front edges and neckline (collar is positioned between the pieces). Clip allowances at curves, turn facings right side out, shape, and press.
  6. Cut (if not ready-made) bias binding 4 cm wide and length equal to armhole length + 4 cm. Fold bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place binding on armhole edge right side up and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  7. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
  8. Fold the bottom hem inwards by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and topstitch.
  9. On the right front, make buttonholes; on the left front, sew on buttons.
