Pattern #2718
Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance – 2 cm. Other allowances - 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Front Yoke – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Reinforce the yoke piece with fusible interfacing.
  2. Place the yoke pieces right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip the allowances, turn the piece right side out, smooth, and press.
  3. Along the upper edge of the front, stitch with a loosened thread and gather. Stitch the center seam of the front, press the allowances to the left side and overcast. Attach the yoke to the front, clipping at the corners, press the allowances towards the front and overcast.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams (the back shoulder edge is longer than the front shoulder edge by the width of the allowance), press the allowances towards the back and overcast. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the back neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the neckline edge, right side facing, extending the tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  5. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the armhole edge, right side facing, and stitch, fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece.
  6. Stitch the side seams, press the allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
