CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance – 2 cm. Allowances along front slits – 2 cm. Other allowances - 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.
- From main fabric:
- Center back – 1 piece on fold
- Side back – 2 pieces
- Center front – 1 piece on fold
- Side front – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and overcast. Topstitch along the seam at 0.1 cm.
- Stitch the front princess seams from the top to the slit mark. Clip allowances at the mark, press the upper part towards the center, overcast. At the slit level, press the seam open, overcast allowances. Topstitch along the seam at 0.1 cm. Topstitch the slit allowances onto the front at 0.1 cm from the edge.
- Stitch the right shoulder seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the neckline edge, right side facing, extending tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch the left shoulder seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the armhole edge, right side facing, and stitch, fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece.
- Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
