Long Sleeve Square Neck Button Front Dress

Pattern #2612
Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: soft knit fabric with a medium degree of stretch, made from natural or blended fibers. You will also need: 3 buttons. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance for the garment bottom, sleeve bottom, and neckline edges of the back and front – 1.5 cm; all other seams 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

CUTTER'S MUST

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back part – 2 pieces
    • Middle back part – 1 piece
    • Lower back part – 2 pieces
    • Upper front part – 1 piece on fold
    • Middle front part – 1 piece
    • Lower front part – 1 piece on fold
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Placket – 1 piece

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
