FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing.

CUTTER'S MUST

SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Back – 1 piece on fold
  • Front – 1 piece on fold
  • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • Placket – 4 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • Placket – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Fold plackets in pairs right sides together and stitch the outer edge. Trim seam allowances at corners, turn plackets right side out, straighten and press. Attach plackets to the front along the long edge, stopping 1 cm from the bottom. Clip the front's seam allowance at the corners, stopping 1 mm from the stitching. Overlap the right placket over the left. Stitch the ends of the plackets, folding back the front and securing the bottom edge. Overlock seam allowances.
3. Overlock the outer edge of the back neckline facing. Place the neckline facing on the back and stitch the neckline edge precisely up to the marked shoulder seam line. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
4. Stitch shoulder seams, inserting the front between the back and the facing, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
5. Stitch side seams, press seam allowances towards the back, overlock.
6. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise right side out and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the armhole, fold the seam allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam of attaching the outer cuff.
7. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press towards the wrong side and topstitch.
