FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; 4 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Front facing — 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing — 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Front facing — 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing — 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on front pieces, press allowances upwards.
  3. Stitch the collar seam, folding front pieces right sides together, press allowances open. Stitch and press open shoulder seams, overcast allowances. Clip the shoulder seam allowance on the front piece and stitch the collar into the back neckline, press allowances towards the collar.
  4. Stitch, clip at the corner, and press open the shoulder edges of the back neckline facing and front facing. Stitch the collar edge, press allowances open. Stitch the collar into the facing neckline, press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge of the front facings and back neckline facing.
  5. Place the front facings and back neckline facing with the front piece right sides together and stitch the front edge, neckline, and bottom corner. Trim allowances at corners, clip curves. Turn the front edges to the right side, straighten seams, press. Secure the collar attachment allowances together.
  6. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Along the lower edge of the sleeve, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
  8. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right sides out, and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, fold the allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer cuff attachment.
  9. Overcast the lower edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  10. Overcast buttonholes on the right front. Sew buttons on the left front.
